How to: Allocate Tables to a Waiting List Entry
You can allocate one or more dining tables to a waiting list entry. You can change a table allocation, and you can cancel a table allocation.
Note: Only by allocating more than one table, you can seat guests at more than one table . If you allocate a dining table that is the main table of a joined group of tables, you have a choice of allocating to the joined group or just to the selected table.
Note: You can allocate any table (free, free-reserved, occupied, or occupied-reserved). When you seat guests at the allocated table, the system will check against other reservations. Therefore, it is advisable to allocate free or occupied tables only.
To allocate a table
- Select the desired waiting list entry row and the Table column.
- Select Allocate from the drop-down list.
- Select the desired dining table in the dining table list. The dining table is now reserved for this waiting list entry.
To allocate an extra table
- Select the desired waiting list entry row that already has a table allocated and the Table column. The dining table list now shows only the allocated tables.
- Select Allocate Extra Table from the drop-down list.
- Select the desired dining table in the dining table list. The dining table is now reserved for this waiting list entry.
To change an allocation
- Select the desired waiting list entry row and the Table column. The dining table list now shows only the allocated tables.
- Select Change Allocation from the drop-down list. The system cancels the current table allocation.
- Select the desired dining table in the dining table list. Only this dining table is now reserved for this waiting list entry.
To cancel an allocation
- Select the desired waiting list entry row and the Table column. The dining table list now shows only the allocated tables.
- Select Cancel Allocation from the drop-down list. The system cancels the current table allocation.
